This guide will help you find sources in the Browning Library at Dixie State College or online.


Forum Network: PBS, NPR, and others have created The Forum Network, an online repository of audio and video lectures, largely recorded and filmed by local public radio and television stations (particularly WGBH).  These lectures cover a wide variety of topics and usually feature well-known authorities, including Nobel Prize Laureates, professors, innovators, authors, practitioners, etc.  Click “Lectures” in the top left and then selecting a subject area to browse.  The lectures range from just under one hour to two hours maximum in most cases.

Academic Earth: Academic Earth's Mission: Academic Earth is an organization founded with the goal of extending high quality academic opportunities to people around the globe. Free Video Lectures from leading universities.

Academic Film Archive: "The mission of the The Academic Film Archive of North America is to acquire, perserve, document, and promote academic film by providing an archive, resource and forum for continuing scholarly advancement and public exhibition." (site description)

Education Portal Lessons: 5300+ lessons which are taught by subject matter experts. Short, bite-sized videos (5-10 minutes long). Subjects include: Science, Humanities, Spanish, Math, English, Social Science, History, and Business.
